FSR Announces Launch of CET Designer Extension for Collaboration, Connectivity and Communications Solutions
Ready, CET, Go
FSR, a leading designer and manufacturer of power, data and audio/video solutions for the contract office furniture industry, has announced the launch of a CET Designer Extension for the Company’s collaboration, connectivity and communications solutions. CET Designer, owned and developed by Configura – a global software solutions company - is an all-in-one platform that serves as a guide throughout the entire space planning and product configuration process up to, and including, sales.
Free to designers and specifiers of FSR products, the Extension covers the Company’s Symphony, Unity, and Harmony table box ranges, the HuddleVU Collaboration series, and Concerto Cable Management systems, all developed to provide technology-rich solutions that seamlessly integrate with design elements for elegant and practical work and study spaces.
“We are so excited to partner with Configura and make the CET Designer Extension tool available to designers and specifiers,” exclaimed Lourdes Collins, Furniture + Design Director for FSR. “The platform allows users to see their ideas materialize quickly, eliminating guess work and bringing design efficiency to a whole new level. Some of the biggest manufacturers in the industry are Configura partners, and we are proud to be in their company.”
CET Designer helps manufacturers and their dealers and designers bring products to market quickly by providing a single software solution for the entire space-planning process. The solution lets users create drawings in 2D and 3D, produce photorealistic renderings and fly-thru videos of the designed space, and generate accurate bills of materials and detailed installation documents.
CET Designer is Parametric Graphical Configuration (PGC)-based software residing on the Configura Extension Technology (CET) platform; an Extension is an addition to the program with functionality that incorporates all of the rules, parts and pricing of a manufacturer’s products. Manufacturers invest in proprietary CET Designer Extensions to make selling products easier, faster and more accurate.
Users of CET Designer simply “drag and drop” manufacturers’ product symbols into the highly visual 2D and 3D layouts while the software handles the technical product details behind the scenes, automatically calculating parts and prices. This functionality lets the user focus on design, and even collaborate with customers in real-time to plan spaces and order products.
